Each sports season, Fall, Winter and Spring, the Edison Athletic Boosters awards a monetary donation to the team that earns the highest GPA as a combined group. The 2012-2013 Winter Team that earned the highest overall GPA is Edison's Swim and Dive Team! The Boosters realize that it isn't enough to just be an athlete. We have Student Athletes here at Edison where the importance of being a good student has to be a priority. Congratulations to the Swim & Dive team for getting the job done in and out of the pool! Tag Day - Teamwork at its Best
Saturday dawned crisp and cool and Edison Athletes, Parents and Coaches came out in force to support the biggest fundraiser of the year! The Tag Day committee would like to thank all of the participants for helping to make this event such a huge success. We would also like to thank the Edison community that stepped up and opened their doors and their wallets to help support Edison athletics. And finally, the Tag Day committee should be recognized for their efforts. Their weeks of pre-planning showed and while there is always room for improvement, they managed to register hundreds of parents and athletes in just over 30 minutes! Awesome Job!
If you have any feedback about the event that you would like to share, please contact Frankie Nieves, Tag Day Chair (ausrican@aol.com) or Booster President, Dave Fletcher (president@edisonboosters.com). Lady Eagles Basketball - Northern Region Champions!
This year’s team is comprised of five freshmen and four sophomores and is currently ranked among the top 20 in the Washington Post and the state rankings! We are so proud of the team's accomplishments and since they are such a young squad, we have high hopes for next year! Congratulations Ladies! Edison Activities is now on TWITTER!
